myOKR is a cross-platform desktop app for productivity and goal management. I’ve spent the last three months living inside it - building features, then testing them on my own goals every single day. Version 0.2.0 bundles everything that survived.
You can download 0.2.0 here. Here’s what’s inside.
☀️ Daily Focus
- Today View - curates your daily tasks based on active Key Results and your Pomodoro budget. Open the app, see exactly what today is for.
- First-Run Walkthrough - onboarding slides introduce the core app loop the first time you open the app.
🎯 Goal Management (OKRs)
- OKR Tree - create monthly cycles, define Objectives, and break them down into measurable Key Results.
- Cycle Cloning - seed a new cycle from the previous structure, and delete empty cycles cleanly.
- Weekly Review Wizard - guides you through reflections with progress charts and auto-populated focus data.
If you’re setting up your first cycle, I wrote a full guide on how to design effective OKRs with myOKR - three life zones, small Key Results, and a reward ritual that keeps the system alive past month three.
🔁 Habit Tracking
- Calendar Grid - log completions daily at a glance on an interactive calendar grid.
- Streaks - current and best completion streaks are calculated automatically.
- Goal Integration - link habits to Key Results so your OKR progress updates itself.
🍅 Productivity Tools
- Pomodoro Timer - focus and break cycles with system tray integration and notifications.
- Generative Focus Music - live-synthesized ambient music, fully offline, via the Web Audio API.
- Eisenhower Matrix - prioritize tasks into four quadrants with inline editing and drag-to-reorder.
- Markdown Notes - tasks and descriptions support full GitHub-flavored markdown.
🔒 Desktop & Sync Experience
- Local-First Storage - your data lives locally in a secure Automerge document. No account required.
- Dropbox Sync - seamless cross-device sync using your own Dropbox account.
- Minimize to Tray - runs quietly in the background with native system tray icons.
TL;DR
- Plan with the OKR tree, focus with the Pomodoro timer, track with habits - all in one local-first desktop app.
